Plimplim explores a broad aspect of electronic music, heading towards ambient, and post noise. Somewhere between Oval, Telefon Tel Aviv and My Bloody Valentine... He builds up his sonic universe by sampling sounds out of the real and by synthesis. The pulsations mix with the crackles, oscillating endlessly between harmony and disharmony and minimal melodies...
For concerts, Plimplim has developped some instruments with reaktor or max/msp to suit his performances. Seen as a place for improvisation, starting around remixes from his albums songs, Plimplim's concerts are always a one time enjoyable listening performance as the pieces are only played during these gigs.
During 2001-02 he played in (f,m,q,s) +a, experimental band meeting beetween students and university teachers. He appeared on n-rec "levitate" compilation (2003) and work on a few albums under several aliases for different projects, including Monavana (french chanson electro), Sub-Robot (rock), Radio Mexico (techno)... Plimplim was a regular partner of Stephane Abboud's "Les Projections Aléatoires". In 2008 he wrote music for "léger tremblement du paysage" Philippe Fernandez's last movie. He also played in Templier, with Grand Ours and Frank Lantignac and released an album of it. He works with poets like Thomas Déjeammes, Fredérique Soumagne, and dancers like Jérôme Sanson.
Some electro projects emerged during 2008-2010 like Trans-Sex Club and he's playing in a famous belgian new wave band.
